GREEN FIN

NAME: Green Fin
PRICE: $3.99
COLOR: white table wine - organic
REGION: California
YEAR: 2009
PERCENT: 12%
PAIRED WITH: Avett Brothers

WORDS: Not a white wine drinking but I enjoy the after flavor very much. Yummy. Light. Refreshing. Good at room temp.  Recommended chilled.
MORE WORDS: Sweet, tangy and got me feeling a little tipsy after a glass and a half. A fantastic pre-dinner whine that pairs well with Camel Lights and the new Avett Brothers album (which I do not like at all by the by).
OVERALL RATING: 4 of 5. Heed the latter words of the backtalk, "Savor the flavor of this organically grown white table wine with your favorite meal or by itself. Enjoy!"

CABLE CAR CELLARS

NAME: Cable Car Cellars
PRICE: $4.99
COLOR: cabernet sauvignon
REGION: California
YEAR: didn't look
PERCENT: 13.5%
PAIRED WITH: Albert King - Born Under A Bad Sign

WORDS: These chaps were bold enough to use "bold" not once, but twice, to describe their "robust flavors" on the backtalk. Now, you should know, the time I spend before I sip me some wine, is the time I use to read the amusing backtalk, and here is where I gather my expectations. So I sipped; bold flavors suuure, but I'd say its presence is rather soft on the tongue. Easy to drink, like water. But take your time. It doesn't quite hit like water.
OVERALL RATING: 4 of 5. You can take her to a party and have her all to yourself.

TRADER JOE'S COASTAL

NAME: Trader Joe's Coastal
PRICE: The equivalent of a bag of arcade tokens. A small bag.
COLOR: Red, White
REGION: AMERICA
YEAR: 2009ish
PERCENT: 13 or 14 maybe, I already recycled the bottle.
PAIRED WITH: House of the Dead 4, Elton John, vegetable stir fry, Tom and Karena.

WORDS: After a late, late breakfast we debated whether or not to drive 70 miles north to get drinks and hang out. We decided not to and did the same thing anyway-- about 69 miles closer to home. We went out for fancy drinks at the 515 and played an absurd word game kind of like scrabble but 3-D! HOLY SHIT! Afterwards we grabbed some supplies and headed back to the house to make dinner. I made a vegetable stir fry with deep fried tofu marinated in sesame seed oil, sriracha, soy sauce, and japanese style breaded chicken cutlets. Our friend Gilbert was kind enough to load us up with tall cans of Tacate which we took down to the arcade and promptly cracked em'. Amy and I played a co-op game of DDR while Sam wandered off to DESTROY at Metal Slug. We found Tom and Karena playing some bizarre first person shooter that had them trying to kill a giant spider. After a healthy dose of video games we all crammed into a photo booth for an epic series of pics to go on the fridge. Ken got left out though, he was too slow. (Sorry dude.) The arcade closed so we stood outside for a minute and finished off our open beers and took the next logical step... KARAOKE! Amy kicked us off with some Destiny's Child followed up with some Tears For Fears. I totally botched Dancing in the Dark, but redeemed myself by doing a duet to Elton John. We all stumbled out of the bar and headed back home after a very entertaining hour or two. The rest is a bit of a blur.. I know we watched Doctor Who, and Tom and I compared butts. I think his was smaller, not that it really matters, right?
OVERALL RATING: 666 of 5. Sure man, that sound great.

NOTRO

NAME: NOTRO - Tinto de MontaƱa
PRICE: $5.99
COLOR: red - 50% Sangiovese, 50% Bonarda
REGION: I.P. Mendoza, Argentina
YEAR: 2007
PERCENT: 13%
PAIRED WITH: The Cure - Standing On A Beach The Singles

WORDS: Upon first slurp, this wine's aftertaste evoked a weird thought of old people. I soon realized I was tasting Band-Aids. I filled my glass again, this time to the brim, and chugged at it. With larger mouthfuls the wine takes on a more cranberry flavor, bitterness excluded.
MORE WORDS: Okay. It's okay. It kinda tastes like envelopes. More specifically the part you lick to seal them.  But with a little more tang than your average envelope.
OVERALL RATING: 2 of 5. The more we drink it the more we like it. Half-glass in, I'm feeling tipsy.
